The New Orleans Saints announced their list of inactive players prior to their divisional round matchup with the Philadelphia Eagles. Luckily, it isn’t a very long list.
On offense, the Saints will be without running back Dwayne Washington, wide receiver Austin Carr, tight end Dan Arnold, and offensive linemen Will Clapp and Derek Newton. Perhaps the biggest thing to note from this is the health of the Saints’ starting offensive linemen as they are all active for today’s game.
On defense, they will be missing linebacker Manti Te’o and defensive end Trey Hendrickson. The Saints have plenty of depth at both positions so hopefully, the inactive designation for these players will not play a major role for the Saints’ defense.
The Saints will be looking to duplicate their week 11 performance as they hope to dominate the Eagles once again. Having a fully healthy offensive line will be key to helping them achieve that goal.
