Late on Sunday night, it was reported that New Orleans Saints RB Alvin Kamara had been arrested without incident and charged with battery resulting in substantial bodily harm as shown in a release from the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department.
The altercation took place at a nightclub in the 3500 block of South Las Vegas Boulevard on Saturday according to the release. Officers were dispatched to a local hospital where the victim reported the altercation, and, after investigation by Las Vegas MPD detectives, the suspect was identified as Alvin Kamara.
Kamara was taken to Clark County Detention Center and was booked for battery resulting in substantial bodily harm. While the investigation is ongoing, it appears Kamara posted bond on Monday morning, according to journalist Mick Akers via Twitter.
The Saints RB participated in the NFL Pro Bowl on Sunday held at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas. This was Kamara’s 5th Pro Bowl selection in as many years.
Kamara’s first scheduled court appearance is set for Monday at 3:30 p.m. CT.
