The NFL on FOX has been conducting fan votes to provide a look into the possible outcome of the NFL Honors. On Friday night, they revealed the winner of the fan vote MVP.
New Orleans Saints quarterback Drew Brees was crowned the winner.
Brees had a spectacular season completing 74.4% of his passes for 3,992 yards and 32 touchdowns. Although Kansas City Chiefs’ quarterback Patrick Mahomes passed for more yards and more touchdowns, it’s clear that Brees is more valuable to his team as the team crumbled without him in their week 17 matchup.
Although the fans voted Brees as the league’s most valuable player, the Associated Press gets the official, final vote. With the AP also choosing Mahomes for their first-team All-pro roared in a landslide vote, many people believe that the MVP voting will go the same way.
Hopefully, Brees can finally be awarded the MVP trophy which has evaded him for so long. Tune in to CBS on February 2 to see if the hero of the Who Dat nation can be crowned the king of the NFL.
